Train it in TheoriaAbout the Four Pawns Attack
The Four Pawns Attack is the most direct treatment of the Modern Benoni's Pawn Storm Variation. White builds a broad center with pawns on d5, e4 and f4 and prepares the e4-e5 break against Black's fianchettoed setup. After 8...O-O, 9. Bd3 is the most common move. The Main Line, 9. Be2 Re8, carries its own ECO code, A69, and the immediate 9. e5 is rarer. Engines rate the position as balanced, and Lichess results are nearly even.
