Train it in TheoriaAbout the Schlutter Defense
The Schlutter Defense is 5...Nbd7 in the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit Accepted, one of the less common answers to 5. Nxf3. The knight goes to d7 rather than c6 and leaves the c-pawn free to advance. It also shuts in the c8-bishop for now, so Black gives up the early bishop development sought by the Gunderam and the Teichmann. Black stays a pawn up, while White relies on the half-open f-file and faster development.
