The Zilbermints Variation is a sharp branch of the von Popiel Gambit. After 4...Bf5, White gives up the bishop pair with 5. Bxf6 exf6, leaving Black with doubled f-pawns, and then drives the bishop from f5 with 6. g4 Bg6. Black answers 7. Qe2 with 7...Bb4, pinning the c3-knight. White then plays 8. Qb5+, which gives check and also attacks the bishop on b4 and the pawn on b7. Black remains a pawn up.
