About the Blumenfeld Countergambit Accepted

The Blumenfeld Countergambit Accepted arises when White captures on e6 and then on b5. After 6...d5 White remains a pawn up, with doubled b-pawns, while Black owns the c5–d5–e6 center and a half-open f-file. The line occurred in Kan–Goldenov, 1946. In the Lichess games 7. e3 is the most frequent reply, ahead of 7. Nc3 and 7. Bg5, and Black has scored well against 7. e3. The engine gives White a slight edge.
