Train it in TheoriaAbout the Troon Gambit
The Troon Gambit is a sideline of the Borg Defense reached after 1. e4 g5 2. d4 h6 3. h4 g4. White's h-pawn attacks g5, and Black responds by advancing the pawn rather than exchanging it. On g4 the pawn has no defender, and the white queen can capture it, so the advance amounts to a pawn offer. Like its parent, it is a rare surprise choice that leads to lightly analyzed, unbalanced positions.
