Train it in TheoriaAbout the Van Weersel Attack
The Van Weersel Attack is a seldom-played branch of the Accelerated Panov Attack. After the double exchange 3. cxd5 cxd5, White plays 4. Qb3 instead of recapturing with 4. exd5. The queen joins the e4-pawn in attacking d5 and also eyes b7, so Black must decide whether to defend the d-pawn or let it go. White commits the queen early, before developing any minor piece.
