Center Game line in which White answers 8...d6 with 9. Nh3, developing the knight to the rim in a position with kings castled on opposite wings.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Kupreichik Variation
The Kupreichik Variation branches from the Center Game's Paulsen Attack main line. After 8. Bc4 d6, White develops the king's knight with 9. Nh3 instead of f3. On h3 the knight can head for g5 or f4, and the f-pawn stays free to advance against Black's king. With the kings on opposite wings, Black targets the e4-pawn with the rook on e8 and the bishop on b4, and the play is complex.
