About the Hort-Antoshin System

The Hort-Antoshin System is a Dutch Defense setup against the kingside fianchetto. It arises after 1. d4 f5 2. c4 Nf6 3. g3 d6 4. Bg2 c6 5. Nc3 Qc7. Instead of committing the king's bishop with ...g6 or ...e6, Black builds a compact center with ...d6 and ...c6. The queen on c7 supports the ...e5 break, which contests the center while the bishop's development stays flexible.
