Train it in TheoriaAbout the Tate Gambit
The Tate Gambit tries to make the direct 3. e4 work in the Krejcik Gambit. After 1. d4 f5 2. g4 fxg4 3. e4 d5, White does not capture with 4. exd5, which allows 4...Qxd5 attacking the rook on h1. Instead White supports e4 with 4. Nc3 and keeps pawns on d4 and e4. Black remains a pawn up, with doubled g-pawns, while White's h-pawn is isolated. Analysis of 3. e4 treats it as dubious and considers Black better after 3...d5.
