Train it in TheoriaAbout the Leningrad Variation
The Leningrad Variation, or Leningrad Dutch, combines 1...f5 with a kingside fianchetto. The move 3...g6 prepares ...Bg7, where the bishop shields the king and bears down the long diagonal. White nearly always replies 4. Bg2. After 4. Bg2 Bg7 5. Nf3 O-O 6. O-O d6 7. Nc3, Black chooses between 7...c6, the Warsaw Variation, and 7...Nc6, the Matulovic Variation. The engine gives White a slight edge.
