Train it in TheoriaAbout the Hickmann Gambit
The Hickmann Gambit, 2. e4, challenges the Anglo-Dutch Defense at once by attacking the f5-pawn and offering a central pawn in return for quick development and open lines toward Black's kingside. Black usually accepts with 2...fxe4, and the engine rates the position as slightly favorable to Black. The main alternative is 2...Nf6, after which White has scored well in online games. 2...d6 is seldom played, and the gambit as a whole is an uncommon choice.
