Train it in TheoriaAbout the Chabanon Gambit
The Chabanon Gambit arises after 1. c4 f5 2. Nf3 d6 3. e4. Black's 2...d6 prepares a central build-up behind the f-pawn, and White answers by challenging f5 at once with the e-pawn, which Black may capture. After 3...fxe4 White gives up a pawn for faster development and play against Black's advanced, exposed e-pawn. If Black declines the pawn, the game turns into a more conventional central contest. It is a seldom-seen sideline of the already offbeat Anglo-Dutch.
