Train it in TheoriaAbout the Prickly Pawn Pass System
This line reaches the Botvinnik structure from a 1...g6 move order, with Black castling before committing to ...e5. Black skips the usual ...Nc6 and ...Nge7 development and plays 7...c6 and 8...a6 instead. The queen's knight stays at home while Black prepares ...b5 to undermine the c4 pawn and open lines on the queenside. White keeps the d5 clamp and the kingside fianchetto that define the system.
