A29 English line in which Black pins with ...Bb4, castles and pushes ...e4 to drive White's knight to d4 before developing the queen's knight.

This line belongs to the Fianchetto Line of the Four Knights but uses a different move order. After 3. g3 Black pins at once with 3...Bb4, castles, and backs the e-pawn with 5...Re8. The advance 6...e4 then drives White's f3-knight to d4. Only after that does 7...Nc6 come into play. It challenges the centralized knight, while Black's e4-pawn gains space on the kingside.
