Train it in TheoriaAbout the Romanishin Gambit
The Romanishin Gambit arises from the Anglo-Indian move order 1. c4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. g3 a6 4. Bg2 b5. Black skips the usual ...d5 and instead expands on the queenside, with ...a6 supporting ...b5 so that the pawn can challenge c4 and gain space on the wing. The plan also prepares to contest the long diagonal that White's fianchettoed bishop on g2 controls. With material level and White to move, the line is an offbeat way to unbalance a quiet English setup.
