About the Sørensen Variation

The Sørensen Variation is a rare branch of the Milner-Barry Gambit. After 8...Nxd4, White declines to exchange on d4 and plays 9. Ng5, sending the knight toward Black's kingside and leaving the centralized black knight in place. Black stays a pawn up, and the engine gives Black a slight edge, preferring 9...Nc6. The most common reply is 9...h6, yet White scores well in online games.
