Train it in TheoriaAbout the Winterberg Gambit
The Winterberg Gambit arises when White meets Black's broad pawn center with 3. c4 and allows 3...dxc4. Instead of recovering the pawn, White plays 4. b3 to undermine the advanced c-pawn and open the queenside for the g2 bishop and the heavy pieces. Black stays a pawn up for the moment, with doubled c-pawns and the d-file half-open, and has to decide whether to hold c4, capture again on b3, or return the material.
