Black's gambit against the anti-Grünfeld 3. d5: the b-pawn is offered at once to undermine White's c4–d5 pawn chain and open queenside lines.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Adorjan Gambit
White's 3. d5 is an anti-Grünfeld try. With a pawn already on d5, Black can no longer reach Grünfeld structures with ...d5. The Adorjan Gambit answers with 3...b5, offering the b-pawn to the c4-pawn. Black's aim is to break up the support of White's advanced d-pawn and open files on the queenside. A bishop fianchettoed on g7 adds pressure along the long diagonal, and the position becomes unbalanced early.
