About the Ghulam-Kassim Variation

The Ghulam-Kassim Variation departs from the Modern Line, 5. d4 exd4 6. e5, with 6...Ne4 instead of the standard 6...d5. After 7. Bd5 Black gives up the knight with 7...Nxf2 8. Kxf2 dxc3+, and following 9. Kg3 material is level, but White's king has been driven to g3 and can no longer castle. Black is to move with doubled c-pawns, while the c, d, e and f-files are half-open. The play is forcing and calculation-heavy.
