Train it in TheoriaAbout the Richardson Attack
The Richardson Attack arises from the Slow Variation, 6. O-O, of the Evans Gambit after Black develops with 6...Nf6 and meets 7. d4 by castling instead of defending or exchanging the e5-pawn. White then takes it with 8. Nxe5, restoring material equality. White keeps the d4–e4 center, but is left with an isolated a-pawn. Both kings are castled, and the b- and e-files are half-open.
