Train it in TheoriaAbout the Sokolsky Variation
The Sokolsky Variation, 7. Bg5, is a sideline of the Bronstein Defense. White, already a pawn down, develops the queen's bishop with gain of time against the queen on d8 instead of choosing Tartakower's 7. Qb3. Wikibooks marks the move as dubious. Black can interpose with 7...Nge7, 7...f6 or 7...Nf6, or move the queen with 7...Qd7.
