About the Canal Variation

Instead of regaining material with 7. Bxd5, the Anderssen Attack, White ignores the threat to the c4-bishop and plays 7. Nc3, adding a second attacker to the knight pinned on the e-file. Black, already two pawns up, may take a piece. The most common reply, 7...dxc4, scores well for White, while 7...dxc3 gives Black better practical results. The engine prefers Black slightly.
