About the Kádas Gambit

The Kádas Gambit, 1. h4 c5 2. b4, is White's Wing Gambit against the Sicilian-style reply to the Kádas Opening. The b-pawn is offered to lure Black's c-pawn away from its watch over d4, after which White can try to build a pawn center and use the opened queenside files. Both of White's flank pawns have now moved while the center is untouched, so the line is an offbeat choice even within an already rare opening.
