Train it in TheoriaAbout the Grimm Attack
The Grimm Attack arises after 4...g5, when Black uses the g-pawn to hold the extra pawn on f4, and White answers 5. Nc3 Bg7 6. d4 d6 with the central thrust 7. e5. The advance challenges the d6-pawn and blunts the bishop on g7, putting central space and open lines ahead of recovering the gambit pawn. With White's king on f1 and the black queen committed to h4, the play is sharp and tactical.
