A rare sideline of the King's Gambit Fischer Defense in which White answers 3...d6 with the flank thrust 4. b4 instead of developing in the center.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Schulder Gambit
The Schulder Gambit, 4. b4, is an uncommon side branch of the Fischer Defense. White, already a pawn down, pushes the b-pawn instead of choosing one of the main moves, 4. Bc4 or 4. d4. The advance gains queenside space and makes room for a bishop on b2, aimed along the long diagonal. The b4-pawn can become a target once the d6-pawn moves and frees the f8-bishop.
