A C37 King's Gambit line in which White adds a knight sacrifice to the Lolli bishop sacrifice, castling early to open lines against Black's king.

About the Young Variation

Instead of 6. Ne5+, White castles with 6. O-O and leaves the f3-knight to be taken, as in the Muzio Gambit. After 6...gxf3 7. Qxf3 Qf6 8. d4 Qxd4+ 9. Be3 Qf6 10. Nc3, White is two pieces down in exchange for rapid development and open files against the king on f7. The usual reply, 10...fxe3, takes a third piece and leads to the Double Muzio Gambit, Young Gambit.
