Train it in TheoriaAbout the Middleton Countergambit
The Middleton Countergambit arises after 4. Bc4 d6 5. O-O Bg4, in which Black pins the f3-knight. When White challenges the bishop with 6. h3, Black replies 6...h5 and leaves it en prise. After 7. hxg4 hxg4 the knight is attacked and the h-file is open toward White's castled king, with Black's rook already on h8. Black has paid a bishop for a pawn, so White is ahead in material, and Black's f- and g-pawns are doubled.
