In the Kling and Horwitz Counterattack, Black meets the Muzio Gambit's knight sacrifice with 5...Qe7 instead of taking on f3 at once. The g4-pawn still attacks the knight, and the queen now bears down the half-open e-file on White's e4-pawn. Black often puts the queen on e7 after capturing the knight anyway, so this order brings it there first. The line is sharp and rarely seen, with White playing for development against Black's material.
