About the Orsini Gambit

The Orsini Gambit, 3. b3, prepares to develop the queen's bishop on b2, aiming it down the long diagonal. The move does nothing to meet the threatened queen check, and after 3...Qh4+ 4. Ke2 d5 the intended 5. Bb2 runs into 5...Bg4+ 6. Nf3 dxe4, and White's position collapses. It is considered one of the weakest third moves available to White and is seldom seen.
