A rare and dubious King's Gambit Accepted line in which 3. Ne2 prepares to meet the queen check with g3. Black is clearly better and scores heavily.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Paris Gambit
The Paris Gambit, 3. Ne2, deals with the threat of ...Qh4+ by preparing to block it with the g-pawn. After 3...Qh4+ 4. g3 the knight defends g3. The flaw shows after 4...fxg3 5. Nxg3, when the knight sits in an awkward pin against the king on e1. The line is rarely played. Engines assess it as a large advantage for Black, and Black scores very well in practice. The most frequent reply is 3...g5, keeping the extra pawn.
