Rosentreter Gambit, Sörensen Gambit

The Sörensen Gambit (also spelled Sorensen) is White's 5. Nc3 in the Rosentreter Gambit, ignoring the attack on the f3-knight after 4...g4. Like the Muzio Gambit and the Testa Variation, 5. Bxf4, it gives up the knight for development and attacking chances. Here the queen's knight leads the play instead of the dark-squared bishop. The resulting positions are sharp and forcing, and the line is less common than 5. Ne5.
