The Pawn Sacrifice Line is the alternative to the Shirazi Line (4...Ke7) after 3. exf5 exf4 4. Qh5+. Rather than move the king, Black interposes 4...g6 and allows 5. fxg6, then checks with 5...Qe7+; after 6. Kd1 White has lost the right to castle. White keeps an extra pawn, though it comes as doubled g-pawns, while the open e-file gives Black a route toward the uncastled king.
