About the Six Pawns Attack

This branch of the Four Pawns Attack, 5. f4, replaces 6. Nf3 with 6. Be2, keeping the g- and h-pawns free to advance. After 6...c5 7. d5 e6 8. dxe6 fxe6, the exchange leaves Black a half-open f-file and White a half-open d-file aimed at the d6-pawn. White then pushes 9. g4 Nc6 10. h4, adding a kingside pawn storm to an already broad center and accepting loosened squares around the own king in return.
