Venezolana Variation

The Venezolana Variation arises after 1. d3 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. g3, one of the few named lines of the Mieses Opening. White places the queen's knight on c3 and prepares Bg2, building a closed setup that resembles a Closed Sicilian with colors reversed. The center stays fluid, and White keeps the choice between e4 and other plans for later, so the play is quiet and maneuvering.
