Train it in TheoriaAbout the Shocron Gambit
The Shocron Gambit arises when Black answers the Korchnoi Variation, 4...c5 5. d5, with 5...b5. Rather than allowing White to settle the pawn on d5, Black strikes at c4, the pawn that supports it, and offers the b-pawn in the manner of a Benko Gambit. The aim is to open lines on the queenside and to break up White's central wedge. It is a rarely played sideline of ECO E21.
