Train it in TheoriaAbout the Myers Variation
The Myers Variation arises after 1. b4 d5 2. Bb2 c6 3. a4. Black's 2...c6 prepares ...Qb6 against the b4-pawn. White replies by advancing the a-pawn, which gains further queenside space and prepares b4-b5 to strike at c6. The usual answer is 3...Nf6, with 3...Bf5 next most common. Engines rate the position as roughly balanced, though White scores well in online games, particularly against 3...e6.
