In the Bg4 Line, Black answers the fianchetto by developing the light-squared bishop to g4, where it bears on the f3-knight that protects the gambit pawn on e5. White almost always continues 6. Bg2, completing the fianchetto. The less common 6. Nbd2 is the engine's first choice. The engine rates White's position as clearly better, and White scores well in practice.
