About the Argentinian Gambit

The Argentinian Gambit is Black's sharpest answer to 3. cxd5 in the Baltic Defense. Rather than regaining the d5-pawn slowly, Black plays 3...Bxb1, and after 4. Qa4+ c6 5. dxc6 Nxc6 gives up a pawn and the bishop pair. With the bishop still to be recaptured on b1, White's queen is posted early on a4 and White is behind in development. Black gets an open c-file and quick piece activity in return for the pawn.
