Train it in TheoriaAbout the Manhattan Variation
The Manhattan Variation departs from the Orthodox and Cambridge Springs setups by developing the f8-bishop to b4 instead of e7. This pins the c3-knight and gives the position a Nimzo-Indian flavor. 6. Nf3 is the most common reply. 6. cxd5, which releases the central tension, gives White the best practical results. The engine assesses the position as a slight edge for White and also rates 6. Rc1 and 6. Qa4 highly.
