An offbeat gambit in the Réti Opening's Advance Variation in which Black meets 3. b4 with 3...g5, offering the g-pawn to the f3-knight.

The Navara Gambit is Black's 3...g5 in reply to 3. b4 in the Advance Variation of the Réti Opening. Instead of propping up the d4-pawn with 3...c5, as in the Michel Gambit, Black advances the g-pawn to a square covered by the f3-knight. The pawn is offered to lure away or harass the knight, which otherwise helps White undermine d4. The result is an unbalanced position.
