Train it in TheoriaAbout the Malich Gambit
The Malich Gambit is a branch of the Richter-Veresov Attack in which White answers 3...c5 with 4. Bxf6 gxf6 5. e4. After 5...dxe4, White plays 6. d5 instead of regaining the pawn. White gives up a pawn for an advanced d-pawn that gains space in the center. Black's kingside structure is damaged, with doubled f-pawns and an isolated h-pawn, and the d-, e- and g-files are half-open.
