Train it in TheoriaAbout the Tartakower Gambit
This gambit arises from the Fianchetto Defense move order, 3...g6, with the king's knight later going to e7 to reach Cozio territory. After 4. d4 exd4 5. Nxd4 Bg7 6. Be3 Nge7 7. Nc3 O-O 8. Qd2, White has set up a Be3 and Qd2 battery and may castle long. Black answers with 8...d5, a central break that challenges e4 and opens lines for the g7-bishop at the cost of a pawn, instead of a slower setup. With White to move, both the d- and e-files are half-open.
