Train it in TheoriaAbout the Grünfeld Variation
The Grünfeld Variation is a branch of the Wormald Attack, in which White guards e4 with 5. Qe2 instead of castling. That keeps c3 and d4 available and lets the king's rook later reach d1 in one move. After 5...b5 6. Bb3 Be7 7. d4 d6 8. c3, Black plays 8...Bg4. The bishop pins the f3-knight to the queen on e2, which adds pressure to the d4-pawn the knight defends.
