Train it in TheoriaAbout the Boleslavsky Variation
The Boleslavsky Variation is named after Isaac Boleslavsky. It answers the quiet 6. Be2 of the Classical Sicilian with 6...e5, gaining time on the d4-knight at the cost of a backward d6-pawn and a hole on d5. The older 7. Nb3 is still the commonest reply online, while 7. Nf3 h6 8. O-O Be7 9. Re1 O-O 10. h3 is the modern treatment. 7. Nxc6 is the Louma Variation. Black scores slightly better online, and the engine sees rough balance.
