About the Christiansen's Dream

Christiansen's Dream arises in the 6. Bd3 Qb6 branch of the Wing Attack. After 7. Be3 Bc5, Black's queen and bishop both bear down on the d4-knight. White neither retreats the knight nor adds another defender. Instead 8. Qg4 strikes at g7, which lost its protection when the f8-bishop went to c5, and at Black's still undeveloped kingside. The play turns forcing, with each side going after the other's weak point before development is complete.
