A dubious Sicilian sideline in which White answers 1...c5 with 2. Ke2, a Bongcloud-style king walk that forfeits castling and blocks White's own pieces.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the King David's Opening
King David's Opening is the Sicilian form of the Bongcloud Attack: after 1. e4 c5 White plays 2. Ke2. The king loses its castling rights and walks toward the center, and it blocks the queen and the f1-bishop, the two pieces that 1. e4 had freed. Engines give Black a clear advantage, and Black scores heavily online, most often after 2...Nc6, 2...e6 or 2...d6. The move's only practical point is surprise value against unprepared opponents.
