An offbeat anti-Sicilian in which White answers 1...c5 with the flank thrust 2. h4, a move that ignores the center and is regarded as dubious.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the with h4
The Myers Attack with 2. h4 pushes the rook's pawn instead of developing or preparing d4. The same name also covers 2. a4. The move does not contest d4 and spends a tempo on the kingside before any piece is out, so Black simply develops, most often with 2...Nc6, followed in frequency by 2...d6 and 2...e6. Opening references class it as a poor move. The engine sees rough equality, and Black scores slightly better in online games.
