A dubious Sicilian gambit in which Black offers the b-pawn with 2...b5 against 2. Nf3, most often taken at once by 3. Bxb5; White scores well.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Polish Gambit
The Polish Gambit answers 2. Nf3 with 2...b5, offering the b-pawn in the hope of deflecting White's attention from the center and gaining open lines on the queenside. Taking with 3. Bxb5 is the most common reply and the engine's first choice, though 3. d4 and 3. Nc3 are also played. Reference sources regard the gambit as unsound, the engine gives White a clear advantage, and White wins the majority of games online. It is rarely encountered beyond casual play.
