A gambit in the Czech Slav's Krause Attack: after 6...Na6, White plays 7. e4 and builds a broad center instead of recapturing the c4-pawn at once.
Train it in TheoriaAbout the Fazekas Gambit
The Fazekas Gambit answers the less common 6...Na6 with 7. e4. Instead of recapturing on c4 immediately, White sets up pawns on d4 and e4 and gains time against the f5-bishop. For the moment Black keeps an extra pawn, with doubled c-pawns on c6 and c4. White's compensation comes from central space and quick development. This is a rare sideline of the Krause Attack.
