Train it in TheoriaAbout the Celadon Variation
The Celadon Variation of the Sodium Attack (1. Na3) arises after 1...e5 2. d3 Bxa3 3. bxa3. Black gives up the dark-squared bishop at once, leaving White with doubled, isolated a-pawns. In return, White gets the bishop pair and a half-open b-file. After 3...d5 4. e3 c5 5. Rb1, the rook goes to that file to target b7. Black has a broad center on c5, d5 and e5 and the sounder structure. White sits behind a modest d3/e3 setup.
